David did a great job as DJ for our party. From the beginning, he listened to what we wanted, made good suggestions and put together a nice play list for candle lighting ceremony and was did just the right amount of directing the party and hands off to let things develop. Would highly recommend him and his service.

DJ Dave is a rockstar! I recently hired Dave to be the DJ at my birthday party, and I couldn’t have been happier. When we were first looking in vendors, I reached out to a few dj’s and spoke with them. They were all very nice, but I felt most confident about DJ Dave and his commitment to customer service. He was the first to respond despite his very busy schedule and also had a warm and friendly persona that made me want to work with him. He listened well to what I was seeking in terms of music etc, and he followed up to check that things were going according to plan. He also did not hesitate to offer his professional opinion on what he felt would work, and it turned out that he was right on all counts. He knows his music and can read a crowd that can only come with years of honed experience. The party was a blast thanks to his contributions. Would not hesitate to hire him again. You should hire him too!!

We found Expressway Music through Weddingwire and Yelp. He had decent reviews so we decided to schedule an interview with him. From our first meeting until end end of our reception, David and his team were very professional, helpful, flexible and friendly which is quite a rare combination. He asked us questions about the format of our wedding, what kind of music we like and explained us what he thinks would be the best mix of music for us. We knew that he was going to customize the playlist based on our taste but also add something from his experience which worked perfect at the end. His office staff are very professional and made sure that the administrative side of this was handled very quickly and easily. Following the first meeting, we were never pressured to make a quick decision — they did not act like salesman — they looked like a group of professionals who like what they do. A few weeks before the wedding, they sent us a few online questionnaires on the event details and our music preferences which we submitted and discussed with David in the final meeting. This hole process didn’t take more than a few hours of our time and at each stage David and his team were very helpful and professional. David did a spectacular job at the wedding. We picked 10 must-play songs and let David choose the rest for us. He read the crowd so well and made sure the dancing did not stop all night. We are very happy with the choice we made and strongly recommend David and Expressway Music for everyone!

Not a lot of people get to say that they had the perfect wedding… but honestly, we did. Everything was just right. Things ran so smoothly, from our introductions, first dances, big moments, and even the subtle background music setting exactly the tone we envisioned for our big night. We owe it all to Expressway Music! Every request we asked for was accommodated, and things we didn’t even think of (like additional lighting) was brought to the table, without being “pushed on us” like some of the other guys out there. They had an online form that was easy to fill out that would say exactly what we wanted and even had a library of songs to choose from to help score the evening, and they were able to get any song we wanted. They really understood how to get the perfect balance of music that everyone could enjoy in 2021. They knew every detail of the event that was happening and they literally didn’t miss a beat. We recently worked with David Swirsky from Expressway Music to DJ our wedding and could not have been more pleased! If it were up to me, I would crown David the best DJ of all time! This was the one area that I let my husband take the lead, given that he had stronger music preferences than I did. I actually spoke on the phone with David only a week before the wedding and I knew immediately that my husband’s instincts were right and he was the perfect person to DJ our wedding. David was particularly fantastic given that we had quite the range of musical requests. His enthusiasm and musical knowledge was appreciated by everyone at the wedding. Not only did he give us everything we asked for, he played music we hadn’t even told him we liked and it was perfect! David gave us exactly what we wanted–a party of guests who danced the night away. The music exceeded our expectations and was a huge part of having the wedding of our dreams, which we had!

I have had the pleasure of working with Expressway Music over the past seven years here at the Council on Foreign Relations’ Harold Pratt House, where they have proven to be one of the best entertainment vendors throughout New York City. They offer exceptional customer service throughout the planning process, they are professional before, during and after each event, and they always provide the best entertainment for every client. One of the reasons we love working with Expressway Music and recommend them to our clients is that they are incredibly professional and are mindful of our rules and regulations within the venue. The Harold Pratt House is almost 100 years old, with original floors, elevators and stairwells. These features create challenges for all vendors during load-in/load-out and setting up; however, Expressway Music always comes prepared to handle this and is completely respectful of the venue and the nature of the building. We appreciate their efforts and work with them to make each event special for the client and their guests. I believe with Expressway Music, you can never lose. They always end the night with the guests wanting the party to continue, which means they know exactly how to entertain any type of crowd. They have the ability to read the crowd and play the right music in any situation, which, after working hundreds of events, is a rare talent to find these days. They are communicative, friendly, professional and overall wonderful to work with and I strongly recommend them to be an addition to your vendor list.

DJ Dieter did an amazing job at our wedding reception. He promised us when we first met him that he only plays full songs and doesn’t talk unless introducing the wedding party which was important to us. He created the perfect playlist for our wedding based on minimal suggestions from us. We gave him a list and he organized it in a way that kept everyone dancing all night long! He played everything we asked and also honored our do not play list, to the point that he pulled me aside to let me know people were requesting one of my do not play songs and did I want him to play it or not! We cannot say enough good things about him and hope all of our friends use him so we can see him again!
