Moxy NYC Karaoke Night

I just wanted to drop a note to say that everyone had such an awesome time with David on NYE! Thank you so much for all of your help. I would love to talk about the possibility of creating a partnership for future events that we throw or for folks that have parties with us and want karaoke dj (which is fairly common).

DJ Dave and Marcos were outstanding! I needed a Karaoke DJ for my son’s first birthday party and we all had a great time. Dave is very professional and accommodating. The party was 5 hours and a mix of 100 adults and 30 kids ages 4-7. The DJs did a great job of blending songs and activities with kids while keeping the adults dancing and singing too. He even set up a big screen to play our slideshow and display the karaoke lyrics for the crowd (which was a big hit.). Highly recommended. Would definitely hire again.

We hired Expressway Music to host our Karaoke after party and it was even better than we imagined! David was amazing to work with beforehand and even helped us with extra lighting equipment for our reception at the last minute. The KJ (Karaoke DJ naturally) was all set up when we got to the after party and immediately kicked the night off. He was a great host/MC in addition to keeping the night running smoothly. It was going so well, and we had so many people who wanted to sing, we extended by an extra hour (Expressway Music was super transparent about costs for night of extensions and pricing was extremely fair!).

There are not enough nice words I could say about Dave and his team! They are absolutely AMAZING!!! I had a very specific vision for a karaoke wedding, and was unable to find any DJ who could really understand what I wanted. After having one conversation with Dave I knew I had found my DJ! He really understood exactly what I wanted, and he delivered perfectly!

So many people came up to me afterwards commenting on how well our DJ flowed seamlessly between karaoke and dancing and did not miss a beat!! Dave is a great guy, and truly loves what he does, and exudes this when he works your wedding! His passion and enthusiasm are contagious and he got every person dancing (even on our muddy dance floor!) the entire night! I am so thankful I found him to work our wedding and would recommend him to anybody who has an event coming up!

There are tons of great reviews for the guys at Expressway Music here, but I’m here to praise Jeanine, who KJ/DJ’d our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, she was incredibly organized and professional, meeting with us to understand the kind of music and vibe we wanted, sending us thorough notes to ensure she had it right, and then a few days in advance, talking through the details of the night.

We provided her with a long list of karaoke and dance song requests, and while she was upfront that not every request would be accommodated in exactly the order we listed it, she did an amazing job of executing our plan while also integrating requests on the spot and responding to the mood in the room as the night went along.

We wanted a mix of karaoke and dance music, and Jeanine and her colleague went back and forth between the two mediums seamlessly. She read the crowd incredibly well and knew just what to play at any given moment to keep the momentum going. I and others made special requests throughout the night, and she was totally cooperative and willing to change course, never losing her smile or cheerful demeanor. Overall, Jeanine was a delight – both in her personality and her skill at her job.

I also want to give a shout-out to Charissa, who handled the business end of things. She was very professional and informative and also a pleasure to work with. Expressway Music knows its stuff, and we appreciated how well both Jeanine and Charissa worked with us to make it the night and the party we wanted. Nothing but good things to say!
