Long Island City Wedding
Our DJ/Owner DJ Dave Swirsky was the Disc Jockey for a Filipino/Australian wedding last night on the 2nd floor of the Long Island City Event Space the Metropolitan Building.
The Second Floor is a very unique space broken into three main parts. DJ Dave and his assistant Matt set up Dave’s main system in the main room (Dave played music for the ceremony through out the reception)and also provided Wireless Bose speakers in the two other main rooms to make it so everyone could hear all the toasts and speeches effortlessly.
They’re were many wonderful Toasts and Speeches and a particularly lovely one by the Bride & Groom!
This was a “European” Style wedding where toasts, special dances, eating were all done before dancing. Once the dancing started it was an all out dance fest with guests (from all over the world) loving DJ Dave’s music!

First of all, I would give more than 5 stars if I could. The bottom line: not only is David a fantastic DJ, he is super easy to work with, professional, & kind.
Let’s be honest, planning a wedding is not easy. In fact, it’s an epic organizational feat (or nightmare, depending on how you want to look at it). I was so delighted when we hired David for our wedding, as I immediately felt like I had one less thing to worry.
No matter what my question was, David always replied with lightening fast speed. In fact, when I first reached out for a quote, I had a response 5 minutes later, with a picture of Dave DJ’ing at our venue. That’s pretty awesome customer service!
We talked to Dave about the type of music we like & what we did not want to hear, then we turned over the reigns to him. Instead of giving him a play list, we let him do his job, read the crowd, & play what he thought was best. David absolutely nailed it! He had people of all ages up & dancing!
Multiple times throughout the night, our guests came up to us & asked if we had personally picked the play list. Dave really brought the cool factor!
I can’t say enough good things about David. His prices are fair. He loves music & what he does. You can tell that he truly cares. He is so organized. And as mentioned before, he is an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend David for any event or wedding! Do yourself a favor & hire him!
