Great Wedding and DJ at Battery Gardens
It was a great wedding (and DJ) at Battery Gardens last night. Danielle and Michael were married there and had an amazing wedding reception afterwards. It was not a large group but it was a REALLY fun group who loved their music and their dancing! The Bride and Groom couldn’t have been lovelier.

LOVED DJ Dave! I felt like we were musical soulmates upon meeting him! Very knowledgeable in all music and such a down to earth guy. He did a wonderful job at our wedding, we were very happy! Also, the amber lighting touches he added around the room really made the room pop. Would highly recommend!!

I always enjoy working with Eddie the Maitre De at Battery Gardens. He is a total pro and any event is always better if Eddie is working it! This was a truly special wedding for a special bride and groom!

A Long Hora and a Groom at the Piano

Dave provided the speaker and microphone for Hope and Adam's ceremony, then DJ'd the whole night. The toasts were touching and funny: the bride gave a roast of her new husband, the groom played "Tiny Dancer", "Clair de Lune" and "Thunder Road" on the piano, and their friend Dara sang a tribute. A long hora opened the reception, and the dancing didn't stop all night.

A Ceremony Facing the Statue of Liberty

Sara and Lim married upstairs, looking out at the Statue of Liberty, then went downstairs for cocktail hour, where we set up a wireless Bose speaker and playlist. Dave DJ'd the reception, and we also brought wireless uplighting for the room and the dance floor and a photo booth that stayed busy all night. For a small Sunday wedding, the floor was full right to the end. Alex and Eddie from Battery Gardens ran another great event.

An Afternoon Wedding That Danced All Day

Lucien and Elizabeth's wedding also made the New York Times wedding section. Dave announced the couple in to Ray LaMontagne's "You Are the Best Thing" and straight into their first dance, Norah Jones's "Come Away With Me", and guests joined in soon after. For an afternoon wedding there was a lot of dancing, young and old, to a mix that covered every style for a diverse crowd, and the photo booth was a big hit. Eddie, the Battery Gardens maitre d', ran a great event.
