Rooftop wedding New York City
I DJ’d at one of my favorite venues last Saturday night (Aretsky’s Patroon) in midtown. What makes Aretsky’s stand out from many other unique NYC venues is a few things. The food is outstanding. A lot of care is put into both the food preparation and presentation. It is quite impressive. They also a truly cool rooftop Bar that hosted both the Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Reception (in between guests go downstairs for dinner, toasts and desserts..they come back upstairs for dancing). The staff is also quite exceptional. These folks work HARD but do it with a smile. It’s obvious everyone at Aretsky’s has a lot of experience with Customer service and hospitality.
During the Wedding Ceremony the Bride’s brother played guitar and sang (and did a great job). After the ceremony everyone stayed on the Rooftop for cocktail hour and I dj’d. When guests went downstairs for dinner my assistant, Chris, and I moved my DJ set up by the dance floor for when guests came back upstairs for dancing. Here is a photo of me and my Bose Set up.
This was a particularly fun wedding party who danced from the second they came back upstairs to the roof from dinner! Here is the last song of the night…from “Rent”…”Seasons of Love”
