Riverdale Bat Mitzvah
Riverdale Bat Mitzvah at Ethical Culture
Expressway Music DJ’s provided the DJ (DJ Dave, Emcee (Cam), Dance Assistant (Sean, Lighting, and our Open Air Photo Booth for Romy’s Bat Mitzvah last weekend at The Society of Ethical Culture in Riverdale, New York:
Expressway Music Open Air Photo Booth
This Riverdale Bat Mitzvah consisted of about 60 kids (50 girls) many of whom loved recent Broadway Show tunes from Evan Hanson, Wicked, Hamilton, Grease, and Many, many more. There was a lot of dancing to newer pop music also and popular dances like Cotton Eyed Joe, Cha Cha Slide, Macarena and much more! (The Limbo contest was epic!)
Karaoke to “Sweet Caroline”
There weren’t many Boys at the Bat Mitzvah however the Boys that were there participated in mostly everything including our Raffle, Trivia, Coke and Pepsi, Limbo and some decided that they were going to be the venues security team:)
Prior to the Bat Mitzvah DJ Dave visited Romy and her family in their home to discuss all details of the Party un rushed. Before meeting at their home Dave also met Romy’s folks at the venue to discuss logistics. It’s very important for us to make sure that our clients get the party they have always envisioned. We are well aware it’s only a few times in the course of a lifetime that such important parties occur. We like to get it right every time for our clients. If our clients our happy we are happy!!!!!
We also played a fun, extended game of Coke & Pepsi! This is Expressway Music Emcee Cam getting things going.

Btw, if you are looking for a reasonable venue for a Riverdale Bat Mitzvah then check out the Society for ethical culture. It is a very accommodating space that is perfect for a kids Bar or bat mitzvah. Riverdale is also very centrally located and easy to get to from many directions. You have a lot of options here and we recommend it!!!

Hi David,
Thank YOU so much, and your amazing crew and Charissa. Wow! What a party. I truly enjoyed it – the atmosphere was just right, the cues you took from the kids, the seamless and lovely interaction between your guys and the kids, the support you gave us with the details, before and during the party (and the support your guys gave each other – I hope Mac’s arm has recovered from holding up that mic – we were touched that he did that, and that Sean came in to spell him – such a nice team camaraderie).
We all look forward to seeing you at Sophie’s party!! She was at Romy’s party, but you probably didn’t meet her, and her little sister was the smallest little girl running around with my younger daughter.
Thanks again!!
Iris
p.s. Thought I’d mention, because Romy might not have come off as shy through the stories her friends told, but she often is very shy with adults when she first meets them, and I noticed that that wasn’t the case with you when you met her at our house. You put her at ease, and I’m sure in a subtle way that helped her feel confident about and excited for the party.
