Bar Mitzvah at Manny Cantor Center NYC
Benjamin’s Bar Mitzvah was held at a very cool space in NY CITY called the Manny Cantor Center on the Lower east side of Manhattan. This is what their website said about them:
Educational Alliance’s Manny Cantor Center, is a community center for all in the Lower East Side. Offering exciting events, award-winning programs, and critical services for people ages 0 to 100+, the Manny Cantor Center is a hub of diversity and inclusivity, of health and fitness, of education and of excellence. We hope the Manny Cantor Center will provide a space for growth, achievement, enjoyment and connection for all Lower East Siders today.
For the entertainment we provided DJ Dave, MC Daniel and Break Dance Pro James and Pro Dancer Alayna. Because this was a Boy heavy Bar Mitzvah we mixed it up all party long to keep things fresh and exciting for all guests.
Dancing
This was a group of kids whose main focus and interest is all things Basketball and sports. Our team discussed before hand that if we could get some of the kids dancing it will translate to all. ..and that’s what happened..at some point during the party the main focus became dancing (both kids and adults) and once the dancing was established it stayed that way all night!
Games, Karaoke, Trivia
if there was a break in dancing or when everyone was eating we would sprinkle Trivia questions throughout the party on subjects that Benjamin and his friencs are interested in. Many of the questions revolved around Basketball and Benjamin! Guests also sang karaoke at different parts of the party(kids sang with each other and they also sang with the adults!!!)Popular karaoke songs that everyone sang was “Don’t stop believing” by Journey, “Don’t stop me now” by Queen and “Empire state of mind” by Jay z, Beyonce and Alicia Keys. We also played games with the kids like “Coke and Pepsi” which is ALWAYS popular!
We are only as good as our people. We take great pride in this. We spend a lot of time making sure we hire people not only very reliable and experienced but who are doing this job because they are people pleasers and helping others is a big motivator for them.
Thank you so much to Benjamin’s family for having us. They are a lovely family who know how to throw a party!!!
