Brooklyn Bat Mitzvah at Roulette
This past Saturday night was Livia’s Bat Mitzvah @Roulette in Brooklyn NY. We provided DJ (Expressway Music owner/dj Dave Swirsky. Dave was not only the DJ but he also was the Karaoke dj (which was a huge hit).We also provided the Photo booth run by our super tech Erika. The event was under the coordination and supervision of experienced Event planner Kerry Muldoon. Photography was expertly handled by Anna Rathkopf. The venue Roulette is simply outstanding in many ways which we will tell you about in a bit.
Bat Mitzvah family
While it was Livia’s Bat Mitzvah her lovely family all had input for the party. They did not want over the top or loud..they didn’t want an emcee to be on the microphone all night and they were adament about this. They chose DJ Dave to do a mix of dancing, karaoke singing, trivia with half the questions written by the family and 1/2 from dj Dave.. DJ Dave also bought hula hoops and a limbo stick. They really knew their crowd because guests sang and danced for nearly all 4 hours of the party.
DJ-Dancing
DJ Dave is known for his ability to get both adults and kids to dance together for long periods of time (as was the case with this Bat Mitzvah!) Here are a few videos
Karaoke
Livia and her friends LOVE music and LOVE singing. Karaoke was a HUGE hit at the party. Guests sang songs from Chappell Roan “Hot to Go” to “Werewolves of London” and of course Taylor Swift (see below)
Roulette
In a City filled with unique venues Roulette stands out. Vendors, like us, love it because how easy they make it to load in and hook into their sound system. Clients love it because it has a stage and can accommodate crowds both large and small. They also have a fantastic sound system and sound engineers that make it fun and easy to be there. ON top of it all their staff is friendly and helpful .

Thank YOU David. Appreciate the sweet note. We had such a wonderful time- as did all our guests from what we witnessed and heard – many mentioning the AWESOME DJ ! I’m sure you saw me enjoying the music. I also so enjoyed seeing your joy!! I kept saying to myself – go say hi to David and thank him, etc… but I kept getting swept up in dance or watching the kids sing and dance. MANY people said they had never seen karaoke at a bat mitzvah before and loved that addition. You were RIGHT. You totally nailed it David. We’re so grateful to you!!
