Brooklyn Bat Mitzvah
Libi had a spectacular Bat Mitzvah Party at the Green Building in Brooklyn Saturday. Elise Ritzel from Starling on Bond did a phenomenal job planning and executing the party. We provided the DJ/Emcee (Me), Karaoke our amazing dancers (Julia and Chris), Photo booth and Sports games.
There were 80 of Libby’s friends in attendance and 30 adults. I sprinkled Trivia questions throughout the party on subjects that interested Libi i.e. Tennis, Soccer, Music and much more. Julia then gave out gift cards to the winners in the raffle at the end of the party.
KARAOKE
There hasn’t been one Bar, Bat or B’nai Mitzvah I have ever DJ’d where Karaoke wasn’t incredibly popular. We usually start at cocktail hour when parents and older guests are in another space and then again during the party. We never single out anyone and the majority of songs are done in groups. It is so inclusive and helps bring people together. Watch the kids sing “Grenade” by Bruno Mars below:

Dancing
Libi’s parents wanted to make sure that the kids danced a lot. We agreed and delivered! We had numerous dance sets of Kids alone, Kids and adults and one when with adults only(when the kids were engaged with the other activities(sports games, photo booth etc)
VENUE
The Green Building is a unique and ideal venue to hold a wedding or mitzvah. It’s a medium large space that is able to be cozy at the same time. As a vendor I appreciate how on top of everything the staff here.
It was such a pleasure dj’ing this Bat Mitzvah. The guests were great and the kids had the best time. What more could a dj ask for?:) 🙂
