Harold Pratt House Weddings
Harold Pratt House weddings are best described as both understated and elegant. From the moment the Bride arrives she is treated like Royalty by the wonderful staff here. Expressway Music owner-dj Dave Swirsky, whom has dj’d there close to 50 times, says that some of the best dance parties he’s ever dj’d have been at the Harold Pratt House! It’s his favorite place to dj because at the HPH, more then most venues, the guests come ready for having a GREAT time which makes a dj’s dream venue really! Our DJ’s have also dj’d other types of events here including Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and corporate functions. HPH is also home to the prestigious Council on Foreign Relations and was constructed in 1919 as one of New York’s grand Park Avenue Mansions. Upscale, elegant wedding and private event venue located on Park ave NYC. We are so grateful to be the recommended DJ and Music company here. Here is a recent blog of a wedding we’ve dj’d here and a featured wedding on the Style me pretty website.

Swing for Cocktails, a Packed Floor After Dinner
November 2014
The couple wanted 1920s and '30s swing as guests arrived and through cocktail hour in the Library. Dave and his assistant Stu placed wireless Bose speakers so the music carried evenly upstairs and down, with no cables in sight, and set up a speaker, microphone and custom playlist for dinner. Afterward everyone came downstairs for toasts, the cake cutting and a long night of dancing, with Madison and the house team coordinating every detail.
“Every song was perfect – many of our friends who are very picky about music asked for his info after the wedding.”

A Latin American Dance Floor on Park Avenue
May 2015
Guests came from Spain, Colombia, Brazil and Puerto Rico, so Dave mixed the music so every guest felt represented, and the floor stayed full right up to the last song. Planner and designer Laura Remmert dressed the rooms with candles and flowers, and Beth and April from the Harold Pratt House ran the evening flawlessly.
